The Hartford Flute Ensemble made its debut during the summer of 2018. This ensemble is a group based in Hartford, Connecticut.
HFE's mission is to promote the music composed for the flute, from solo pieces for flute, trios, quartets, and large ensemble for flutes.
This ensemble was created with the idea to open a space for flute lovers where they can grow as a player, share information and have unique playing opportunities. Founded in summer 2018 by the Artistic Director Gonzalo Cortes, the HFE celebrates its third year as a permanent music ensemble in the Great Hartford Area.
