Gonzalo Cortés, A native of Chile was formerly Principal Flute of the Classical Orchestra of Santiago, Chile. He studied with Alberto Harms at the Catholic University of Chile and earned an Artist Diploma from Duquesne University with Robert Langevin, Principal Flute of the New York Philharmonic, as his teacher.

Dear Flute Lovers, Once more I am happy to announce that the Hartford Flute Ensemble Camp is happening this summer, 2023! Enjoy the friendship of other flutists while rehearsing in a flute choir, attending masterclasses, and collaborating with others. About
HFE's mission is to promote the music composed for the flute, from solo pieces for flute, trios, quartets, and large ensemble for flutes.
This ensemble was created with the idea to open a space for flute lovers where they can grow as a player, share information and have unique playing opportunities. Founded in summer 2018 by the Artistic Director Gonzalo Cortes, the HFE celebrates its third year as a permanent music ensemble in the Great Hartford Area.

Hello, my name is Gonzalo Cortes. I am the founder and Director of the Hartford Flute Ensemble. I have taught flute in the Hartford area for over fifteen years, helping my students achieve their goals.
I offer flute lessons to students of all levels. I teach different styles of music, classical, improvisation, popular and contemporary. I can help you prepare for competitions, college auditions, and orchestral auditions.
